Parisian Food Fest at L’avant Comptoir

i had been wondering what was going to be in store for me this summer as this is the first time I havent signed up for a course or committed to doing an internship. it felt weird at first to let go and see where this freedom takes me… the first place i landed was in paris. at that moment in time, it was the best place to be with one of my best friends. most of our time was spent eating and then eating some more.

Paris

after standing in line for about an hour and a half… NO PICTURES ALLOWED! But I snapped one anyway.

Yayoi Kusama
Centre Pompidou
Paris

’why does the world take such an interest in weirdness’ is what my boyfriend said as we were wandering through the dotted paintings and installations of Yayoi Kusama and off we went to the Diane Arbus exhibition, talk about weird!

Robert Mapplethorpe
Curated by
Sophia Coppola

Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac

A different side of Mapplethorpe. NOT just nudes but also flowers and people with clothes on. Beautifully selected but I think he should stick to nudes, way more exciting.

Le boyfriend in Le Marais, Paris

Le Marais is supposed to be THE area for shopping (if your not going for the high end Prada or Dior boutiques) but to be honest, the only thing that really attracts me about the area is the doors. So many different colors and woodwork shapes. I really just wanted to see what was behind them…

Hotel Thoumieux
79 Rue Saint Dominique
Paris, France

prints everywhere = not good for a hangover. BUT this must be one of my favorite city hotels. The mini bar is free and they provide an iPad with a great music selection + a city guide.

Three is a Charm

Three is a Charm.
When I ventured to Paris in December this year and roamed the area of Le Marais, finding little vintage boutiques, walking down the streets of George V and Victor Hugo mesmerized by the big fashion houses, at as much Lebanese food as I could in St. Germain and visited Palais de Tokyo and the next door Museum of Modern Art, I told myself how I would love to come again in the summer. And so I did.

A MUST GO: Grazie, 91 Boulevard Beaumarchai
